Plan a route and keep a mileage log
Work out the best order for the day's visits, see the distance and driving time, and keep a record of every trip.
Maps switched on (Set up maps with a free Mapbox token), and jobs with addresses (Add a job address so it shows on your map).
Plan the day
Click Leads, then press Map & routes.
Under Start from, type your home or depot address and pick it from the suggestions. Tick Use this as my usual start point to remember it.
Tick Drive back to the start if you finish where you began.
Set the Purpose (it starts as Customer visits).
Use Add a job… to pick the jobs you're visiting. Only jobs with an address on the map appear.
Press Best order and TradeCRM works out a sensible sequence, with the total distance and driving time.
Not happy? Use the up and down arrows to move a stop earlier or later, or remove one.
Press Save to mileage log.
Your mileage log
Every saved trip is recorded with its date, purpose, start point, stops, whether you returned to the start, the miles and the driving time. You'll see totals by month.
- Export CSV downloads the log as a spreadsheet for your accountant or your records.
- To remove a trip, delete it from the log. You'll be asked to confirm.
Distances are by road, worked out by Mapbox when you plan. The log doesn't apply claim rates or tell you what you can claim, so check the figures with your accountant before claiming.
